Morandi was a great interpreter of the 'art of' engraving that has faced a strong commitment equal to that devoted to painting. For this reason Ferrara Arts and Galleries of Modern and Contemporary Art of Ferrara, in collaboration with the MAMbo - Museo d 'Arte Moderna di Bologna, celebrate the whole graphic work of the artist 'in Bologna.
Morandi began to practice the 'incision around 1910-11 and practiced until a few years before his death in 1964.
After a period of intense experimentation etching became his favorite technique, we investigated in depth features to anticipate coming in two colors of black and white of 'graphic work, the effects of formal structure and vibration of light and shade that characterize specific stages of his artistic creation.
